Start your preparations very early. Update your current affairs. Read Newspapers and Current affairs magazines. Decide on your prelims subjects early

In UPSC exam Ist exam is primly exam and two exam 200 marks each and it is same for all candidate after that in main exam there you have choose two subjects , you can study tatamacgraw hill for genral study vist civilserviceindia.com
You can make notes for cuurent affairs online and get many ques

there r only some institutions which offer the course like this...,so know about the institute which is best for ur stream and get details from them......

In upsc u have to choose gen studies and 2 optional subjects.u can take the postal material of various coaching institutes from delhi.
