Which books should I refer to prepare for my prelims and main exams?

do i need to read all subject ncert books for group1 prelims and mains exams.i have one more question,do i need to read 11 and 12 ncert books.if so, what are the ncert subject books of 11 and 12 th standard should i read.please inform me soon kindly
