Is it possible to make a career in the software industry for someone who has taken five years to complete his engineering

If in your engineering your have aggregate less than 60% i.e 57 % and if you have got an year back and finished the course in 5 years. then is it possible to get a job in a software company ? as many people told me that its not possible in software but only in a BPO.

i also with same problem no year back and with 58% still doing my last sem please anyone mail me how can i improve myself or suggest any short term course that really help me plz write me csanindia@gmail.com

Dear Varun, Many of the Software companies have some norms so that they don't accept student with backlogs. But definitely you can apply for Software companies with no criteria. all the best
