What is the basic eligibility to become a food inspector

hello sir,i want to be food inspector,but have no idea about its exams and its study materials.i have done my graduation in science stream and specialization in chemistry,am i eligible for this position? if not then what PG courses i have to pursue? Is it having scope?pls give me detail info.thanks
