My son has joined the foundation course of Computer science leading to an MSc in advanced computing at the univ of Manchester. Will he be able to do extra courses to enable him to do a PHd in theoretical comp science - programming

Hi,
If he holds a master degree then there is no need to do any extra courses because for PhD programs Master degree is required in the relevant field , however if he is curious do do any course along with studies just to enhance the knowledge then there is no harm in this as well.
