Can i directly join a Ms in computer science having a background in petroleum engineering or join an IT firm first?
Hi, I have a background of petroleum engineering with almost 4 yrs of work experience in core. I want to pursue a career in computer science. Should I join an IT firm first and then go for some degree in Computer Science, or can I directly join the course? what are the opportunities after 5 yrs?

Since you have work experience, it would be good if you join an IT firm first and then apply for masters after 1-2 years as it would be beneficial for you to understand the field first practically and then grab theorotical knowledge. Infact, the work experience that you would gain would help you
