The degree granted is definitely not fake. But it won't carry much value for you. It's better not to apply to this university. Please visit http://www.woodfielduniversity.com/university/accreditation.asp to have a look at the university's accreditation which makes its degree very much authentic.

In the US, there are two broad categories of universities: for-profit and not-for-profit. Woodfield University is a for-profit university.

It is an accredited online university. I agree with someone who said above that it is a for-profit university but since it is an online university, the cost of education will be much lower than conventional for-profit universities in the United States.

An accredited college is recognized to award degrees so the Phd, and Master or anyother degree, diploma, certificate rewarded by an accredited institute is recognized.

Like someone said earlier that it is an accredited university. In the United States, accredited colleges / universities are considered legitimate and recognized. University degrees, recognized in the United States, also get easily recognized in India and elsewhere in the world.

I dont think so it is an accredited college so they can run degree programs.
