Which is bettter for US? IELTS or TOEFL?

Which Is better IELTS OR TOEFL for US?If i do TOEFL then required exam for IELTS?or if I do IELTS then required exam for TOEFL?Which is recently valid exam for US?I am immigrant so I want to take admission in California's any college in computer field.I have done BCA.And want to do master in US.
