Hi Balasubramanian,
Valid CAT percentile means the cutoff on which a University accepts students like for this year IIM Ahmedabad cut- off is 99 percentile so, this institute will not accept students below this percentile. Same way different Universities/ Institutes will have different cut-off perc

To have a valid cat score means that you have appeared for CAT exam and that you have good percentile to get into the desired B-Schools in India.
