What is the Eligibility criteria to do PhD in Commerce?
Hi Sir/Ma'am,
I am Deepshikha . Want to pursue Phd in Commerce from Calcutta University and need little guidance on it.
On my educational background, I have complaeted BCom(Professionals) and MBA(Finance) and currently working(2.5work exp)
For doing Phd, is MCom or NET mandatory..?

no Net is not mendatry , but you have qualify entrence test og university

Adding to what Dr. Bharti Ahuja has rightly advised to you, please also note that clearing UGC NET exam would be highly beneficial for you even if you do your PhD.

Hi Deepshikha,
You can do Ph.D. without M.COM. and NET.And for your kind information entrance exam for Ph.D. from Calcutta University will be held on 11 of March 2011.
