Focus on 3rd and 4th years papers. (1) GATE General Aptitude Test by Ajay Kumar, ISBN : 9789380473024, (2) GATE Papers: Mechanical Engineering Solved Papers topic Wise ISBN : 9788183554473 These are low cost books and will give you a good start. Dr. Mishra

Dear for IIT you need more than 96 percentile of admission. and reference books are GK Publication and GK Publication Previous year solved papers and many books are available in the market
