What is the procedure, if any, for a student who is in the third year, to shift from B.E.(Marine) to B.Tech (Mechanical)
sir i am a third year student of marine engineering college there is procedure to change the degree to from b.e. marine to b.tech mechnical?

Hi Maheep,
Well this provision is a rare one to get and generally is made in the first year completion; but then as you are in the third year, getting this would not be an option. However, you can contact your college for the same and inquire about this provision.

Yes, there is a procedure for branch sliding within the college, but i'm afraid its too late for you. The sliding in some colleges can be done in the 2nd year, but not in the third year, I'm afraid buddy.

Change is very tough. Most of the time college does not allow. I will advice you to complete B.E. in Marine and if required later you can plan MS or MTech in Mech. Anyway B.E. Marine is good choice and has good career.
