Hi Abhishek, GMAT before anything else. It's sad, but it's true: your GMAT score is probably the most important factor in determining whether you will be admitted to a top business school. Need to clarify this statement, though. Most applicants are reminded that there is a significant difference between a 680 and a 720 on the test. There is no. The extra 40 points will not help your chances to be accepted. For this reason I am disappointed when I hear from people who score 680 and to persevere in retaking the exam. Most of them would serve better their burning books GMAT-preparation and turning their attention towards the application essays (the next step of the process). If not, you will have a hard time earning a spot in the top-tier schools, regardless of how good your work experience and may be undergraduate GPA. For this reason I believe that GMAT score is the most important factor in getting accepted by a top program. If your score is not the ballpark, you won't be able to play. Thank's !
