I think you are referring to Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) exam, which is an all-India exam for admission to M.Pharma courses. Those who have Four years Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy are eligible to sit for the exam. Those who are in the final year of exam can also sit for the exam. GPAT exam requires the candidate to mark the correct answer out of four options in an Optical Response Sheet (ORS) by darkening the appropriate bubble. The application fee is Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC Category candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD Category candidates. Application form of GPAT exams normally come out in January. When admission interviews are conducted, 70% weightage is given to the GPAT performance and 30% weightage is given to the candidate’s academic record and interview performance. Essentially, GPAT 2011 is a paper-pencil examination. It consists of a single paper of 3 hours duration containing 150 questions. Each question carries 3 marks. There is negative marking in the exam and one mark is deducted for each wrong answer. GPAT scores are valid for one year from announcement of result.
