Chandigarh University has made steady progress in NIRF 2025. It is ranked 19 among universities, better than 20 last year. In the overall list, it is 32, same as before. The subject results show positive moves. Engineering went up to 31 from 32. Management improved to 32 from 36. Pharmacy made a good jump from 20 to 15. Architecture is now 14, almost same as 13 last year. The biggest highlight is the research ranking, where the university entered for the first time and scored 34 at national level.

Chandigarh University (CU) admissions are generally based on CUCET scores for most of the courses. Students need to appear for the test or submit scores of any other accepted exams as stated by the university. Hence, in some cases, you may get admission in CU without CUCET. The CUCET test is also a scholarship test and if you want to get the scholarship benefits offered by the university based on CUCET scores, then you will have to appear for the exam.
