There are 30 paper codes or subjects in GATE 2026 itself and as per current official the latest updates also, no new paper codes or totally new subjects have been added to GATE 2026. The most recent ones were in the past years when papers such as Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA), Environmental Science & Engineering (ES), and Geomatics Engineering (GE) and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NM) were introduced.

There is no such update regarding the introduction of new papers for GATE 2026. The details will be updated once the GATE 2026 official notification is released along with the exam dates. For now, there are a total of 30 GATE test paper codes available across engineering, science, technology, architecture, humanities, and life sciences.
