That is a very good question I must say. First of all, I don't think the new IITs have diluted the IIT brand name. It's just that people are always apprehensive of something new. Any institution whether it is a government or a private institute cannot become prestigious and top institution within a year of its establishment. Also, new IITs have their own identity and cannot be measured with the old IITs. they are not taking as much time as the time that had been taken by the

I think it has not. New IITs are developing and gaining progress as they are also involved in making quality students. The IITs with their name itself, you can't say it is good or bad.
