Have the private engineering colleges destroyed the quality of engineers produced by them?
Should anybody opt for private colleges to pursue B.Tech?

No. You can't define quality of students through their college. Quality depends upon the ability of students. One thing one must remember if he/she wants to do anything fruitful. That is- "To have faith in oneself, not on the composite things".

It's not true BITS Pilani, VIT Vellore is also a private college and is better than IIITs in terms of placements and academics.

Why do you think so? Infact, in terms of infrastructure, better facilities, and a lot more, private colleges are working towards making better and happier engineers who go beyond what the college has in store for them. One such college that exists is Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. T

Hello,
I agree with you. But it's not just about Thapar. In India, there are thousands of engineering colleges. How many out of them do you think are good like Thapar? I guess only 5%. Rest, all are working as the money-making machine without thinking of students and the country's future.

Yes, it is true to some extent as lot of private colleges are there now a days, but not all the private colleges are bad, infact BITS Pilani is a private college which is ranked just below some of the Top IITs.
