Hello. Can you please tell me the difference in terms of courses of studies and job prospects between BCom(Commenrce) and Bcom (Finance)?

My daughter is in class-12 Commerce now. She has got 10 CGPA in class-10 CBSE Board and in class tests always score between 91 to 95%. She is good in all subjects like Maths, Accounts, Economics and Business Studies. Hence I want to be careful in selecting a career for her.

Hi. First of all, it depends upon your daughter's choice. B Com Finance and Commerce are like two faces of the same coin. One can go for different career options. Commerce is an activity of buying and selling goods on a large scale. Finance is generally related with financial things, defining money, resources, then exploring different corners of Economy. By adopting Commerce, one can explore the accountancy, commerce sections and can pursue CA, CS, CFA, CFO, MBA as their career. If you will take the finance section, you can explore banking as well as corporate world. Both courses will take the person to good career options.
