Hello, I am a Developer in C++ for the past 2 years. Need a change in my career. Can I pursue a career in Oracle as a DBA? How can I do it?

2 years work experience as a Developer in C++(Windows and Unix platform). B.E Computer Engineering

    Yes you may go ahead. A successful Oracle Applications DBA must have these skills:
    1. Outstanding Communications Skills
    2. Business Degree (MBA)
    3. DBA skills - Oracle certifications such as OCP and OCM. The Oracle Applications DBA must also have a good understanding of related technologies, especially Java (JDeveloper, J2EE, Apache) and Oracle Application Server.
    Role involves database administration activities such as database, optimization, configuration, ensuring compliance to security standards etc.
