Hi Suchitra, After doing your B.Tech in Biotechnology, you can either choose to do a post graduate degree in the area of Biotechnology, if you are interested in Research. On the other hand you could also look into doing a management degree if you are looking at a Management post in the industry (eg Pharmaceutical Industry). If you prefer to go down the technical research route, then you first need to get a post graduate degree –an M.Tech degree would be preferable. There are many universities that you could look at. Some of these are Anna University, Chennai; University of Calcutta, Jadavpur University, Calcutta; Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi; Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, Jawaharlal Nehru Tech University, Hyderabad. You could also do a degree in another related area such as Genetics, clinical research etc. This would depend upon your specific area of interest. After your PG, you can go in for PhD after which you can go in for Post-doctoral research.
