Geetika, if you are interested in teaching at school level then B.Ed is ecessary. If you want to teach at college level (Lecturership) then it is essential that your clear the UGC NET exam, or its equivalent of the state level exam. I would also suggest you that you try to do your M.Com.

Hi Geetika, Since you are a graduate from commerce, you can write B.Ed entrance taking sst as your option paper. Having B.Ed helps you in kick starting your career as a teacher. For any questions, reg that feel free to revert back ... Also specify where are you from.
