First off all, you have to clear that for total marks your 5 or 6 subjects are considered. If only 5 are considered then just clear your 6th subject and then apply where you want too. All the best for your future.

After you reappear in the bio exam and pass it, it will not be necessary to write any more exam for sitting in NIT/IIT etc. These take admission through JEE which does not has bio subject. You will have to score good marks in JEE to get admission. Furthermore, it is not required to give improvement of all other subjects with bio. Only if you feel your score is bad in other exam, then write them otherwise not.

To get admission in different Technical Government Institution, you need to have minimum score of 75% in class 12th, and should have passed in all subjects. As you are failed in a subject, so you have to give the Compartment Exam and clear it. If you want to improve your marks in class 12th or improve your Percentage, then you should appear for Improvement Exam next year. To get any best Engineering College in India You have to clear JEE Mains and Advanced, to get IISER, IIT, NIT, IIST and all.

Yes, it should not be hard for you to get admission to the University of Western Australia as an Indian student with 50% in class 12th. However, please note that it does not put you in the top applicants either. The general admission percentage requirement for international students is 50 to 65%.

Look at the other admission requirements -

  • English proficiency tests with IELTS (bands 6.5) or TOEFL iBT (82+)
  • High school Diploma from a recognised board like CBSE or ICSE etc.
  • Some course-specific subjects for Engineering programs

  • Average universities often accept students with 60-75%.
  • For highly competitive courses like Medicine, cut off is usually higher.
  • Strong SAT/ACT scores can also compensate for a slightly lower board percentage.
