Hello, my son ranked 47473 in vit 2018, he is allotted counselling on 16th may, he is having JEE Advanced exam on 20th may and BITs on.

The VIT ranking mentioned is not up to the mark for securing admission in CSE/ME/CE/EC at VIT in the first category. If there is the option of withdrawal of admission in VIT, in such a case you may book a seat and wait for results of BITS & advanced. Rest if your son could score well in BITS & ADVANCED to get a good college based on the scores, in such a case he may leave VIT counseling.

If your son is confident enough to crack JEE or BITS then go for that but you must know that in that much rank your son will get civil or electronics in VIT, Vellore in the first category.
