Hi, To become a Block Development Officer, you need to sit for State Civil Services, competitive examination conducted at the state level for openings in the administrative services in the state government. Also known as the Provincial Civil Services (PCS), this examination is conducted by the State Public Service Commission of the respective state. Eligibility:- All graduates between the age groups of 21 and 28 are eligible to take this examination. There are relaxations in upper age limit to the scheduled castes/scheduled Tribes, Ex-Servicemen, physically handicapped and the employees of the State Government. Even though the examination is conducted as an all-India competition but during the interview it is desirable for the candidates to know the language, culture, and customs of the concerned State. For being bdo you have to give state level exams meant for public service jobs as IAS/IPS at center level. procedure is different in every state but eligibility is mostly same as in IAS exams. For details you have to search about state civil services on net with your state name.
