Hello sir, my college is ugc approved. Is aicte approved btech degree necessary for government job?

Yes it is necessary for Govt jobs and even in private sector the recruiters do not give preference to candidates who graduated from institutes which are not UGC approved.

AICTE stands for ALL INDIA COUCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION. It governs the norms of technical education. Every instution( including the one you are studying) should adhere to its norms.

Your college can not be UGC approved as it approves universities not colleges. Your college is affiliated to an UGC approved university. Now, in India, it works in two manner.
