Hey, I am from commerce background and I want to take B-tech, what is the procedure to get into a good college for B-tech?
I got 64% in CBSE 12th board exams. I did BCA for one year in jesus and mary college.

Hello shruti.
The basic requirement to do b.tech is the 12th pass in maths,physics,chemistry.
but as you are from the commerce background , you would have not taken these subjects ,so currently you are not eligible for b.tech shruti. because all the colleges along with the AIEEE and JEE score ask for 12th score in maths,physics, chemistry too.
On the otherhand you can think of choosing any other course rather than b.tech because these days the number of engineers are increasing but are not able to get employeed.
So it will be better if you choose a field where there are various job oopurtuinities ,so your investment of time and money can...more -
Shruti, I am not sure how good you are with maths. Only then go for BTech CS. If you are, then you must later pick up a language whether PHP/ HTML5 (web dev), .Net (for software dev) Java/ Android (for apps) or C#/ Unity (for games). However like i mentioned, you must be good with programming to move ahead in this area since you have to compete with MCAs and BTech(CS) applicants. So choose your internship/ industrial training very carefully. Do not just go for the cheapest to save money.
