hi i am divya pursuing 3rd yr btech in mechanical stream hyd.... my aim is to become piliot .... i came to knw tht to get cpl lisnce 1st we shld have spl nd ppl licence is it compulsory for everyone.... nd tell me exact duration.... nxt year i will be cmpltng my btech so guide me to knw in detail.

Hi Divya,
To attain CPL, it is necessary to attain a SPL first and only then one can go ahead with the training for PPL followed by CPL. The total duration depends on your performance but then it would be between 15-18 months.
CPL consist of about 350 hrs of ground schooling and 200 hrs of flying.
