Hi. i am in my 3rd year of b.tech. in mech. engg. from bit mesra. i want to appear for upsc (IAS,IPS) exams. should i take a campus job 1st?

Should i work for 1-2 years before attempting upsc or should i directly start prep. in delhi? it is possible that if i join the industry, after 2 yrs, i may not be interested in pursuing upsc. also, if i do attempt upsc but fail to crack it, what other psu options would be available to me?
