    This query has come across too often and once again I would like to say that MBA specialization depends upon your area of interest. People feel that they can work in any area provided they have enough salary. But believe me, this is not the case. 4-5 years down the line, you would be frustrated if you do not like the job. MBAs already get decent packages. So money won't be an issue later. So go for your interest. And if you are confused about interest, do some introspection else you may find it out once you join a course. Then the area which stimulates you mentally would be the one to go after. But it is always better to go pre-decided

    Probably an MBA in marketing or HR would work well for you, although it depends on other factors like your working style and interests too.

For admission to MBA (or PGP) at IIM Ahmedabad, the CAT test is usually conducted in November. Aspirants of IIM Ahmedabad are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam is held in three slots:

  • Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
  • Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
  • Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
