Yes, LPU is UGC recognised. The Business School of LPU is accredited from ACBSP, Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs from the USA ensuring quality education and industry experienced faculty members, studying in LPU will get a degree accredited from a body of USA. There are faculty members with good experience and pass outs from good B-Schools including Iims. They have alteast minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical knowledge.

    Hi,
LPU is UGC recognised university. Moreover, UGC and AICTE are the same. It is just that a university is recognised under UGC and colleges under AICTE.

Yes it is a recognised university and the degree is of course a validated one. Do not worry about that. Also, it is suggested that if you are not doing a job currently or any other such work, and can take time out then think over a full time course rather than a distance course. This will be more beneficial as it will provide you with the required exposure and formal teaching. Full time course is also preferred for the placements. All the best.

Lovely Professional University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India, under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. To get admission into the PhD programme at Lovely Professional University (LPU), here's how the process works:

You must meet the eligibility criteria: typically a Master's degree in a relevant field with minimum 55% aggregate marks (UGC norms) or equivalent. In certain disciplines, candidates with a 4‑year Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of industry / teaching / research experience and 75% marks may also apply. Hi there,

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT,   commerce,   arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .

I hope this helps,

Thank you.

Both Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are known for engineering, but if we think of Electrical Engineering, LPU appears better in many ways. As a student, I personally feel that LPU has a very practical approach to learning. Their labs are state of the art, and well-resourced, and I find that the faculty usually support us to work on real-time projects, which build confidence to take on challenges in industry. The university brings many industry professionals for guest lecturers, and have affiliations with top companies in the world, so this gives students a greater opportunity for internships and pla

Dear reader,

Taking admission at LPU is a great choice. LPUNEST is their own entrance and scholarship exam.

The candidate's merit rank on the test and the courses and specializations they selected during the online preference submission are the main factors used to assign seats for LPU NEST counseling.  The availability of seats in the selected programs is another factor that affects allocation.

For more information kindly contact their concerned department.

I hope this information helps.
