Hi, is there a possibility of getting CS in NITs with JEE Mains 2018 rank 11,000? I am a general candidate.

Yes, there is a chance for you, but the upper nits have stuff competition for CS branch, and you have to get better rank for this, but you can try. Hopes are very less. You can try for other branches like ECE and IT in NITs and IIITs, are like to same branches.

Seeing that how many seats were vacant this year, I think you would be able to get a good college if not NIT. Participate in all counseling and put the college you want as only option. If you don't get college in counselling, then approach the college for spot counselling.

Yes, it is possible. Also, if you have state quota then you will get it for sure, condition is that the NIT is not the top one. You can even get a seat in BIT Mesra. You have got a good rank. You will definitely get a good NIT.
