Tejashree. You got confused because Indian Maritime institute accepts students who were in the EML(extended merit list) of IIT JEE exams. It doesn't mean you have to crack JEE. It simply means you can get admission in Indian Maritime Institue easily is you are in EML. That's all.

hi ,i have never heard or seen any of the IIT providing merchant navy course,but IIT MADRAS provides marine engineering,any ways a merchant navy course requires more physical dedication in work than brain skills,and a lot of roaming options,it is more suitable for boys as it demands more of hovering
