Validity of your GATE score will be indicated in your score card. There are deemed Universities that conduct their own examinations and states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka etc who conduct local entrance examinations like TANCET, PGCET etc. Besides some colleges conduct departmental test to fill vacant seats.

Hi Chaitalee, as a friend I would suggest you to opt for M.Tech after clearing GATE exam as it opens more doors of esteemed universities like IITs, NITs, IIITs, etc.
But, there are some of the deemed universities which conduct their own entrance tests for M.Tech admission like :
    Aligarh Muslim University
    Andhra University
    Banasthali Vidyapeeth
    Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya
    University of Hyderabad
    Indian Statistical Institute
    Jawaharlal Nehru University
    Punjabi University
    University of Roorkee
Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning
    Anna University and many more.
You may also consider some of the following entrances :
    SRM Engineering Entranc
    ...more
