Hi Bhumica, Let me begin by affirming with you that, a career in actuarial science is one of the most rewarding careers, not only in India but across the globe. The eligibility condition for becoming an Actuary is as follows: - Any person with minimum 18 years of age and having a high degree of aptitude for mathematics and statistics can take up this course and become an Actuary. Generally, first class graduates or postgraduates in Mathematics, Statistics or Econometrics will be in a better position than others to qualify as actuaries. To qualify as an Actuary, a candidate has to pass all examinations in the prescribed subjects. In addition, he has to comply with other criteria such as experience requirement and attendance at a professionalism course prescribed for the purpose. Moreover, do note that, it is one of the toughest exams to crack & only a handful of individuals are able to qualify as Actuaries. So if you have an inclination towards mathematics, statistics or econometrics & are ready to burn the mid night oil, then jump into this field to make a career as an Actuary. All the Best
