Hostels of LPU are better or of CU.

I don't know about CU hostels as I have never been there, whereas LPU alumni, I can share my experience at LPU hostel. The hostels of LPU are most comfortable and damn strict. There is no compromise when it comes to the security of the students. LPU residential facilities are as state of the art as the campus is. There is round-the-clock vigilance through security cameras and there is a huge army of security personnel deployed all over the university. LPU has a hostel from 1 seater to 6 Seater including the AC and Non AC. To maintain cleanliness, rooms are cleaned about 23 times per week. The room has an Air Conditioner, attached washroom, and Geyser in each room. Wooden Box B.Ed Study Table, Chair, and Almirah. Students have to seek permission to use electrical gadgets having a maximum load of up to 5 amperes per apartment. One and two Seater apartments have attached lobby and kitchenette. There is an electricity backup and water supply. In addition to it, staff assistance and medical service (Medicines and tests On Payment). Study Room, TV Room, Lift Facility, Fire Fighting System, Purified Water Facility, Maintenance Services, Wi-Fi Service, Free Electricity Units (As Applicable). There is 24 hr. Electricity backup Water Supply, and services available. There are mess services, laundry services, dedicated parking, departmental store, cafeteria, saloon for boys, printing and copier machines, shops in all hostels, Guest Rooms, Car Wash Facility, Shopping Mall, and Tuck Shops. From ala care to regional mess, the LPU hostel has all. It has North Indian, South Indian, Rajasthan, and many other regional messes. A student can choose the food as per his or her taste. The quality of food is good. Parathas, Butter, Curd, Milk, Tea are served at breakfast. At lunch, Dry Vegetables, Dal, any Gravy item, Rice, Chapati, and Raita are served. In dinner Chapati, Seasonal Vegetables, Rice and Desserts are served. The campus is ragging-free, drug-free, and tobacco-free. If someone has a problem in connection with the residential facilities room, one can complain. The hostel management looks into the matter and resolves it at the earliest. The female guards are deployed in the girls' hostels. There are female security guards who look after the security of the girls' hostel. The Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs. Of time and are accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels. Girls are not allowed to roam around the hostel till late at night. No outsiders are allowed. Even the parents have to get a GATE.

Yes, LPU is good in the following areas. 1. The residential facility's entry and exit are controlled by automated turnstile gates with biometric machines. 2. A healthy and clean environment 3. A separate residential facility with various seater for the students. 4. There are beds, a study table, a chair, almirahs, a desert cooler, and a geyser in each room. In addition, there are 5 AC rooms in the above category. 6. Every hostel has a different and hygienic food facility, as well as a Mess and Canteen. 7. Laundry service 8. Access to a gym to stay in shape 9. In addition to the medical services given on the lovely campus. 10. Power is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and Wi-Fi is available. 11. On the university campus, there are general facilities such as a dedicated hotline and power backup for 24-hour power supply. 12. There are 12.60 ATMs from five nationalized banks, as well as Post Office facilities for money transfers, quick post, and other services. 13. Study room, TV room, Saloon, Photocopy Machines, Departmental Store for Daily Needs, Cafeteria, Vending Machine (Soft Drinks), Lifts, and Parking. 14. Hello! The residential facility at LPU is very authentic and genuine. It offers the best residential facilities like 24*7 power supply, Gym, Laundry, Mess, Wi-Fi, etc. With value for money. All residential facilities have dining halls that provide good quality and hygienic food four times a day. Over 1 Lacs meals are prepared each day! I have spent my 2 years at LPU and opted for mess throughout. I must appreciate that LPU takes utmost care of the health and hygiene of students. Food is prepared as per the menu decided by the university. Every meal has a minimum of 4 to 5 items and sometimes even more. The menu is decided considering the healthy and balanced diet of students. Food is tasty and has a complete blend of all the essential nutrients required by the human body. There is a 4-time meal served throughout the day starting from Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Snacks, and Dinner. The special menu is also prepared on festive occasions. University also provides the option to choose between Standard Mess and South Indian Mess. The standard mess has a mix of menus from North Indian, South Indian, Chinese and Italian Cuisines. Also, the university keeps a regular check on the quality of food served to the students. There is a surprise visit and checking being done by food inspectors allocated by LPU in the mess. For a student, you get the perfect meal throughout from a glass of milk or tea accompanied with some Paratha or Poha or Idli or Sambar and sometimes even Sprouts. Lunch has a Curry, Rice Chapati, Salad, Curd or Raita, and even fruit sometimes. Evening snacks are some starters with Tea or Coffee Dinner is a perfect main course meal with 2 or 3 curries, Rice, Chapati, Salad, sweet, and much more. There is a different menu for different days so that you don't get bored eating all the same stuff. You will get to eat all the healthy green vegetables to spicy and piquant dishes. The hostels of LPU are 24x7 secure with a good food facility. No one can enter the hostel without permission /without crossing the turnstile gates. Also, the moment students leave the hostel and move out of the campus (that they have to go after getting the leave duly sanctioned by the warden) the parents get a message about it. This in a way prevents students from going haywire. So, in my opinion, Food at LPU Mess is always appreciated in all terms. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Hi there, Well, being an alumni as well as an existing scholar at LPU, I would like to answer your query. I have no idea about CU but I am going to share my true experience of staying at LPU-hostels. I have been staying at LPU-hostel from past four years now, with mess facility availed throughout. I would say that hostel life at LPU is quite happening. The staff like wardens are humble enough and cooperative. The hygiene is highly taken into consideration, easy availability of water is found. LPU, for being a brand in every aspect, provides well and good in-campus residential facility for both boys and girls. The hostelers range from students to faculty. Separate hostels for boys and girls and the family apartments for faculty who stay with family. They offer rooms such as 2-seater or upto 4-seater with or without AC, 2-seater apartments, single seater apartments with AC. Besides that, once you stay in LPU-hostels, you get to experience a lot of things like inter-hostel activities. You get to study in library till 12 AM and till 2AM during exams. Moreover, the most important thing is security, which is highly taken into consideration. I personally feel that LPU hostels are the safest place to be at. Apart from this, CCTVs are positioned at each and every prominent corner of the campus. You can find security guards everywhere on the campus for your guidance and security. Other than that, cleanliness is always maintained to ensure healthy environment. In case of health emergencies, ambulances are always available for the students (24*7). You get stationary items as well, in your tuck shops. For sports and fitness freaks, open gym is available, which the students can use anytime they want, huge jogging parks are available, along with basketball courts. Hope this helps. Thank you.

As per my knowledge, All the university are doing good in their own way. Rather than comparing, we should check the university which caters all round development of student. I would suggest you to check the following before finalizing the institute: 1. Rankings 2. Faculty 3. Pedagogy used 4. International exposure 5. Tech-savvy last but not the least Placements Both institutes are doing great in education but I don't have much details for GITAM but Being a alumni of LPU, I can highlight some of the facts of LPU: #LPU being in education since last 18 years has fetched many rankings to its credit as compared to any other institute. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. #Several big brands of the industry have visited LPU campus during academic sessions. # Students are also provided with on job trainings, industrial exposures inculcating in them modern management skills. #LPU believes in delivering the quality, for same, it has hired faculty from the reputed institutes like IITs, NITs. The syllabus is vetted from the company officials of Cognizant, Microsoft etc. To provide updated curriculum. #The centre for Professional enhancement of LPU aims at developing new skill sets to its students besides improving their existing skills and competencies. The students get trained in Logical Reasoning, Aptitude, Verbal Ability, and Soft Skills by professional faculty members. LPU provides various opportunities which range from one-day workshops to a semester-long academic course which improves the learning experiences of its students. #LPU has his own space shuttle programme, where students and faculty members are working on satellite programme with the joint help of ISRO. #If you consider placements, LPU outperforms in that as well by assisting the student to get the highest package by making the student prepare for the placements. I tell you a girl named Tanya got placed in Microsoft at 42 LPA and many more students got hefty packages which I doubt students have cracked at the other mentioned institute. As I mentioned there is no comparison but if you still want my opinion, LPU is the right option. #LPU believes in transforming the India through transforming education. The very first step towards achieving this transformation is by providing a healthy, supportive and secure atmosphere for the students to study in.

Lovely Professional University is such a place where different students come from across the country and form a unique blend and become LPU students. I think for providing a better learning environment hostel is one of the primary things which is important in any colleges /Universities. I am Leaving inside a Hostel for the last 2 years so I can give you a better idea with respect to my experience. Every room has a connected washroom (besides in certain quarters rooms), B.Ed table, chair, and almirahs. LPU has an in-campus separate residential facility for boys and girls inside the campus. The facility of power supply through dedicated 24 hours hotlines. Shower, Geyser in each room to provide hot water in winters (scheduled timings) for two hours per room each day or as decided by the University. Inside LPU campus Hospital with the ambulance service is 24hrs to provide medical assistance to students. Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi system for scheduled timing for academic purposes only and subject to conditions. The Parking space for two-wheeler/car near hostels and classroom. Gymnasium and Indoor stadium with world-class swimming pool are open for LPU hosteler which provides good strength to the students in terms of physical health. Power backup for light load only (not for AC/ Geyser/ Air cooler). Mess facility with vegetarian meals only. Air cooler / Air Conditioner facility in each room (as opted). I don't know much about the hostels at CU, but I do know a lot about them at LPU. At LPU all the hostels are very good and clean and have all the amenities that you can think of. You will have Wi-Fi available in each corner. Regarding the cleanliness, your rooms will be cleaned 2-3 times per week by the cleaning staff. Since winters can get a bit chilly here, so they have geysers made available in all the hostel rooms. Each hostel has its own canteen, an ATM machine, and a WHSmith shop for you to buy all the necessary items of the daily needs and stationaries. Also, if you even come across any problem, you can let your warden know or you can just make an RMS request through the LPU app, and the management here will solve that issue for you as soon as possible. Not to forget, the wide variety of options that you get while choosing hostels. From Apartments, 1 Seater, 2 seater to a dormitory, you have all the options available.
