There is no perfect timing to start your preparation but you should always start as early as you can. I think 8 to 10 months of decent preparation will get you in your dream college. Firstly you should start with English Language and focused on reading.

One year of preparation is sufficient to prepare for CLAT. Regular study is the key to score good in CLAT along with mock practise. Best wishes.
