BTech placements at VIT Pune are decent. The institute runs an active Training and Placement Office that plays an active role in ensuring that the students are industry-ready through various seminars, guest lectures, workshops, and training. Every year, over 250 companies visit for Campus Placements. As per the recent placement reports, a total of 83 companies visited the campus during VIT Pune placements 2024. Computer Engineering had the highest placement percentage at 98.57%, closely followed by the Information Technology department with 93% of students placed.

Computer Engineering students received the highest CTC of INR 33.75 LPA, while the average CTC for Mechanical Engineering students was INR 4.80 LPA, INR 4.45 LPA for Industrial Engineering, INR 4.39 LPA for Production Engineering, INR 5.95 LPA for Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, and INR 8.66 LPA for Computer Engineering.
