BTech placements at VIT Pune are decent. The institute runs an active Training and Placement Office that plays an active role in ensuring that the students are industry-ready through various seminars, guest lectures, workshops, and training. Every year, over 250 companies visit for Campus Placements

Computer Engineering had the highest placement percentage at 98.57%, closely followed by the Information Technology department with 93% of students placed.

Computer Engineering students received the highest CTC of INR 33.75 LPA, while the average CTC for Mechanical Engineering students was INR 4.80 L
