    The placement data regarding PhD placementsat IIT Bombay are currently unavailable. The overall IIT Bombay placement data shows that in 2024, around 683 students were placed. The data claimedthat majority of the students placed were placed in the IT/Software sector. However, which course had the most amount of placements as well as howmany PhD students got placed isstill unknown.

    IIT Bombay is one of the prestigious colleges in India to pursue a PhD course. Thus, the placement record of the institute has always been good. As per the official sources, 1475 students were placed during the IITB PhD placements 2024. More than 1350 unique job offers were granted during this placement season at IIT Bombay. Moreover, the average package and median packages offered to students participating in the 2024 placement drive were INR 23.5 LPA and INR 17.92 LPA, respectively.
