At the Department, we have state of the art centrifugal systems, capable of separating important Biomolecules like DNA, Protein and other cellular components to analyze different evidences such as blood recovered from a crime scene. 2. At the Department, we have state of the art facilities of different types of microscopes which can not only help in native visualizations, and analysis via a real time connection with a computer. 3. At the Department, we have state of the art Spectroscopic systems, including UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrophotometer [FTIR], interfaced with computer to carry out the sensitive measurements.

The Forensic Science domain promises to create a research and placement oriented environment. The department regularly works on student research projects with novel ideas of applied value. Coming to faculty, they are one of the best mentors to us & everything here is up to the mark. The faculty is supporting if one is willing to learn. They teach the subjects with their full effort. Writing board, screen-projector, labs are used to teach. The college arranges frequent industry visits. New innovative ideas were framed into working models and were showcased to 10000+ school students. LPU is one of the best University that offers the best infrastructure and uses the latest technologies. LPU offers best curriculum, well qualified faculty, well-equipped labs along with qualified lab technicians as well. LPU focuses on providing the best facilities to its students and be ready as per the Industry requirement and gives the students exposure on the latest technologies as well. Forensic Scientists can work as medical examiner, crime laboratory analyst, crime scene examiner, forensic engineer, and language expert and evidence enhancer by portraying psychological profiles of habitual offenders as well as doing the analysis of crime scenes, etc. So, it is a good profession to join provided this programme to be pursued from a good University that is focused on securing the future of the students with good placements. Forensic Science is the application of scientific knowledge and methodology to criminal investigations and legal problems. The course aims to explain the scientific principles and techniques behind the work of forensic scientists and will be illustrated with numerous case studies.
