How are mentors provided for Ph.D. at LPU? Ph.D. in Management.

I also had the same query for one of my niece who was planning to enrol in Ph.D management. On inquiring, I came to now that the university offers a. Ph.D Management - Part time (NOC required from the Employer) b. Ph.D Management - Full time The eligibility is a) Master's degree with 55% aggregate marks in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview; b) Other conditions as prescribed in the Guidelines for Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D. ) programmes. (5% relaxation to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ differently-able candidates)An applicant will be short listed for interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST (Ph.D. ). I also came to know the important point that the final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview. As per the rules, course work is mandatory and after that supervisor selection takes place and the same is taken by a special Division I. e CDRP which is meant only for undertaking research related things. In addition to this, maximum two supervisors will be allowed, one main supervisor from the concerned department from LPU and one Co-supervisor can be opted from LPU or from other institution /university /industry /NGO provided he/ she meets the eligibility requirement as per LPU policy. I must say that LPU 's system is planned in such a way that no one feels any inconvenience. The counsellor told that the last date to apply for Ph.D is 22-7-2020 which you should not miss due to any reason.

Hello, I am currently pursuing Ph.D. in management from LPU and I must say LPU provides you with complete help in selecting a mentor. Sufficient time is given to Ph.D. Scholar to select his/her supervisor and process for the same is mentioned below: During the course work, Ph.D. scholars will be provided "Supervisor Selection Module " interface to their UMS account, where they will get the primary information about the research profile of all the doctorate faculty in brief (department wise). After going through the profiles of all the listed doctoral faculty, scholar will select 4-5 preferences (maximum) initially Once the preferences recorded by the scholars, CRDP will plan an interaction session with doctorate faculty members (as per their recorded preferences) for discussion on the research area of interest of scholars. After this interaction, scholars will submit the final two preferences to the CRDP at 38-202 and then the final allocation of the supervisor would be done by the committee constituted by the Centre for Research Degree programme. During the course work, interactions with industry experts and experts from NGOs may also be arranged for scholars to find out research problems persisting in industries and society. Maximum two supervisors will be allowed, one main supervisor from the concerned department from LPU and one Co-supervisor can be opted from LPU or from other institution /university /industry /NGO provided he/ she meets the eligibility requirement as per LPU policy.
