To be frank, the placements for biotechnology in India, at present, are less. But if you opt for biotechnology, you have a very bright scope for conducting research. Not only that, you may also get non-core jobs if you are okay with it.

Companies do come for biotechnology, but placements are totally dependent on students and how they perform in the interview.
