    Forest Research Institute has divided the seats available for the Masters degree programme under the following criteria:

    • SCHEDULED CASTES AND SCHEDULED TRIBES: Fifteen percent (15%) of the total available seats shall be reserved for scheduled castes and seven and half percent (7.5%) for scheduled tribe candidates subject to their being otherwise suitable.\
    • OTHER BACKWARD CLASSE (OBC): The reservation to OBC is being provided as per the policy of the Govt. of India as
      defined by National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC).
    • PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED: 3% reservation to the persons with Disabilities under the persons with Disabilities
