How are state level engineering tests different from JEE Mains? What is the need of state level tests?

JEE score will help you to get admission in some state and private universities, colleges and NITs
But you need to crack JEE Mains and then advance to get admission in IITs. State level helps to get admission in state universities.

From JEE Mains you can get admission in IIT colleges
But from state level exams u can enroll in that state colleges only.

JEE is somewhat tougher than state level entrance test. State entrnace test is for state engineering colleges and lateral entry courses.
