Athletics at Duquesne University have prospered into a nationally recognised force. Basketball at this university has always been a student favourite due to the reputation of The Red and Blue Crew, Duquesne's Student Union. The university has 5 men's sports and 8 women's sports, all of which play in either NCAA Division I or Division I Sub-division.
