How are the course-wise placements at Velammal Engineering College?

<p>The Velammal Engineering College has good performance in placement per course, mainly in the following areas:<br>Computer Science Engineering (CSE): It has one of the highest placement rates of nearly 99.22%. The average salary paid to CSE graduates would be around INR 4.5 Lacs per year. Top packages for many would be about INR 12 Lacs per annum, wherein Amazon, TCS, and Zoho have grabbed their attention.<br>Information Technology (IT): The IT department also had high placement rates. Almost 95% of the students who were placed got jobs. The average salary is comparable to that of CSE graduates.<br>Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE): This discipline also performs similarly with a great percentage of students getting placed year after year, though the figures have been changing every year.<br>Mech and Civil Engineering: Placement rates in these traditional branches of engineering are much lower than in CSE and IT. Placements range between 60% to 80% depending on the year and market conditions.<br>Postgraduate Programs (MBA/M.Tech): The placement statistics of MBA have also been satisfactory, with most students receiving acceptance letters from really good companies.</p>
