How are the hostel facilities at LPU?

I myself being a hostler in Lovely Professional University, I have spent 5 years of my amazing life at LPU. Can say that hostel life in LPU is pretty amazing. As I have stayed in hostels earlier, I am very much impressed with the facilities that we get here in LPU. To me the infrastructure plays an important role, so the environment, the surroundings that I get in here are peaceful. There are 6 hostel blocks for girls. 1, 2,3 and 4 blocks are attached, and are like a mini society in itself. We have a wonderful garden along with two basketball courts. There are 23 open gym under the hostel. LPU has the largest campus having the capacity of accommodating 25k+ students in the campus. Residential Facilities available in the campus are : Separate residential facility for boys and girls within the campus. Rooms with attached washroom (except in certain dormitory rooms), B.Ed (without mattress), table, chair and almirahs. Air cooler / Air Conditioner facility in each room (as opted). Arrangement for power supply through dedicated 24 hours hotlines. Geyser in each room to provide hot water in winters (scheduled timings) for two hours per room every day or as decided by the University. In campus Hospital with ambulance to provide medical assistance to students. Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi system for scheduled timing for academic purposes only and subject to conditions. Power backup for light load only (not for AC/ Geyser/ Air cooler). Mess facility with vegetarian meals only. Parking two wheeler/car facility at designated places only. Gymnasium (optional on payment basis). Students in residential facility are permitted to keep Electrical Kettles, Electrical Irons, Steamer, Laptop, Mobile Charger, Shaving Set, Trimmer, Hair Straightener and Hair Dryer. Extra electricity bill due to the usage of these electrical items will be borne by the occupants of that room. I hope this helps you.

Safe and secure residential facility for boys and girls: The university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Automated turnstile gates with bio-metric machines regulate entry & exit to residential facility. 24x7 Library Access: LPU offers a huge Library System with 11 branches. There are more than 43 Lacs books and e-books on all subject fields. Library system subscribes number of journals, magazines and newspapers. Safe & Secure: Manned by over 400 full time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. The University has its very own fire station department. LPU also has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles ensuring that every movement is monitor. Access of Indoor Sports Stadium: With facilities like swimming pool, warm up pool, shooting range, squash court, badminton court, a volleyball court, basketball court etc. At 50% subsidized fee. Indoor Stadium: With facilities like swimming pool, warm up pool, shooting range, squash court, badminton court, volleyball court, basketball court etc. At 50% subsidized fee. Medical Assistance: The campus has a 24 hours 30 B.Ed hospital which is staffed with resident medical officers, medical lab, dietitians and physiotherapists. Mess Plan/Food: All residential facilities have dining halls that provide good quality and hygienic food four times a day. Over 1 Lacs meals are prepared each day. In-House laundry: Quality Laundry Services are available in the University Campus. The Laundry Services are provided through the best washing and drying machines using standard chemicals. The Laundry facility is optional. The Fee for Laundry and its administration is Rs. 3800 for academic session Generally, steam press system is used. Gym Facility (Separate for Boys and Girls): Special Gym facility is being introduced at three different locations exclusively for hostelers at 50% subsidized fee. In addition to special Gym facility as mentioned above, Open Gym (without charges) is also being created.

I have never experienced the residential facility of the University but one of my friend who stayed in hostel highlighted the following facilities: 1. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit of the residential facility. 2. Clean & Green Environment 3. Separate residential Facility for the students with different seater. 4. Rooms are with B.Ed study table, chair, almirahs, desert cooler and geyser. 5 AC rooms are also available in the above category. 6. Differential and hygienic food facility and Mess and canteen facility in every hostel is there. 7. Laundry facility 8. Gym facility to remain fit 9. Over and above the medical facility being provided inside the beautiful campus. 10. 24*7 electricity supply and Wi-Fi. 11. There are general facilities such as :dedicated hotline and power backup for 24 hrs power supply at university campus. 12.60+ATMs of 5 nationalized banks and Post Office facilities for money transfer, speed post, etc. 13. Study room, TV room, Saloon, Photocopy Machines, Departmental store for daily needs, Cafeteria, vending Machine (soft drinks), Lifts and Parking facility. 14. University-Mall, an eight- storied complex, houses departmental stores, various shops, banks, food-courts. These help students to meet their daily needs on the campus itself. 15. There are 100+ eating joints across the university at different locations near hostel areas. 16. Academic support and recreational sports are also provided.

The hostel has all the required amenities of a B.Ed AC, table, almirah etc. The evenings can be spent beautifully in the lush green lawns of the hostel. Besides all this the department of student affairs keep conducting such lively evening events that the campus is always buzzing with fun filled activities. LPU believes in nurturing its students in a safe environment so that the students feels at home away from home. Utmost care is taken for the security of the students. The security officials/guards are there at a distance of 100 m for the security of the students. LPU has all the facilities like mall, game zone, roller skates zone, indoor stadium etc. The University has its very own fire station department. LPU also has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles ensuring that every movement is monitored. There is a very good indoor sports stadium with all games and equipment. The Department of Students Affairs keeps the campus buzzing with so many activities that a student keenly waits for such events. Department organizes many fun filled activities in the evening in the campus. Many celebrities too give great performances which are enjoyed after classes. Hostel has got all the amenities like B.Ed almirah, study table etc. All the facilities to cater to an active life of a student is provided. Students spend their leisure time in the lush green lawns of the campus. All the best !

Being a career counselor, I visited many universities for observation of facilities and infrastructure, one such university is LPU. LPU is famous for its top-class placements, world-class infrastructure, and faculty. In LPU, the key points of hostel facilities are1. CCTV based security in both boys and girls hostel. 2. A dedicated team of warden and workers who are available in the hostel for 24 hours in shifts to provide facilities to students. 3. Best north, south and other food facilities in the mess with quality and taste4. Near to hostels, there are playgrounds to play basketball, football, badminton, cricket. 5. Indoor stadium for swimming, gyming, and learning various exciting games6. Flexible timing to visit Unimall, library and work at innovation studio7. Due to students from across the country, students are getting interacted with them and capturing various positive vibes in terms of language and knowledge sharing. 8. In the weekends, DSW (Department of student welfare organizes various activities related to sports and entertainment for hostel students. 9.
