    The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission to engineering colleges in India is conducted in two stages: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. For JEE Main the marks are calculated by normalizing the raw scores obtained by the candidates in all the sessions (if there are multiple sessions conducted). The normalization process takes into account the variation in the difficulty level of the question papers across different sessions.
