KSOU Mysore have a dedicated placement cell that is function from the year 2019. The objective of KSOU placement cell is to provide job opportunities to UG and PG students of Karnataka State Open University. It is to note that all UG and PG students are eligible to participate in the placement drive conducted by KSOU. Further, KSOU conducts job fairs from time to time where companies are invited to recruit students’ basis their qualifications and domain knowledge.

According to media reports, a 15-day digital job fair was organised by Karnatka State Open University Mysore across the state. In this virtual placement drive, more than 10 companies participated to fill nearly 2,000 job vacancies. The salary package offered by the participating companies stood between INR 3 LPA and INR 6 LPA. during KSOU Mysore placements 2023.
