    Hi there,
    Civil engineering s arguably the oldest engineering discipline. Roads, railroads, subway systems, and airports are designed by transportation engineers, another category of civil engineering.
    IIT, Delhi is among top colleges of India, every branch of there is of top notch with good placements stats.
    Intake:- 105 (Civil)
    Placements:
    Average package:- 6 LPA
    Highest package:- 18 LPA
    Recruiters:- Punj Llyod, ACC, L&T, Tata, Essar Group, Gammon, Ircon, Jaypee Group, DLF and many more.

    The placements for B.Tech in Civil Engineering at IIT Delhi are very good. In the 2022 placement season, the highest salary offered was INR 35 LPA, while the average salary was INR 10 LPA. Almost all the students (>95%) got placed in top companies such as L&T, TCS, Infosys, Schlumberger, etc.

    Indian Institute of Technology located in Delhi is one of the best government colleges of India. IIT ranks in top 3 in the list of top colleges of India.
    Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi offers many courses out of which Civil engineering is one of the courses which offers about 100 seats to students.

    First, let's discuss something about Civil Engineering. According to the fresh report of Royal Institute of chartered surveyors, till 2020 there will be need of 400, 000 civil engineers but today there are only 65,000 professionals available. In last 3 to 4 years, software field and IT sectors were highly needed by the private companies and before 3 to 4 years students were also taking 90% jobs in the computer science branch. According to the latest report by Nasscom, in approaching future, civil engineers are going to have good demands.
    Also, civil engineering is one of the core branches which gives it an edge over other disciplines.

    Well, the placement statistics of IIT Delhi shows that they have been growing rigorously branch per branch. There has been a static increase in the no. of placement companies visiting the campus have been rising year by year and when you are gradually in IIT, then you don't have to worry about your branch as most of the companies in IIT do not consider the Branch criteria but rather, they focus on CGPA. So, these are the most companies like :-KPMG , DELLOITE, PWC, BCG, BAINS, etc. which are consultant firms. They visited the campus for recruitment of the student.     The IIT, Delhi is standing at the top positions from a year in worldwide rankings due to its modern teaching culture and most vibrant IIT campus when it comes to Co-cultural and hardcore academics.
    The civil branch no doubt is one of the most chosen branches and finds a large scope in the industrial, governmental and private level.
    When it comes to past and recent placements statistics, the combined data is about 15 lakh per annum average ranging from 9 lakh to 33 LPA. These placements stats are for undergrads pursuing the degree.

    IITs are the premier engineering institutes. IIT-Delhi is one of the old IITs and many lakhs of students try to get admission here every year. According to the National Institution Ranking Framework, IIT Delhi ranks 4th among all engineering colleges in India which is a pretty good rank.
    Civil Engineering at IIT Delhi is pretty good.
    For Civil Engineering, for 2015 out of 61 students who applied to placements from Civil department, all the 54 students were placed meaning 88.5% placement for Civil which is quite an impressive number.

    The vigorous drive resulted in requisitions being obtained from industries from 429 Companies for 595 profiles with selections on 234 profiles as a result of which 805 students were placed making a total of 869 jobs (some students got multiple jobs).
    For civil engineering students, out of 60, 54 students got placed in core sectors with 4 students getting more than 1 offer.
    Average package was 5LPA and highest at 22 LPA.
