Indian Institute of Technology located in Delhi is one of the best government colleges of India. IIT ranks in top 3 in the list of top colleges of India. Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi offers many courses out of which Civil engineering is one of the courses which offers about 100 seats to students. It is known for its interactive session to provide hands on experience with the equipment required by the Civil Engineering to help them grasp the practical knowledge of civil engineering. IIT-Delhi is known for its great infrastructure faculty with 5 to 10 years of experience and they are very knowledgeable and facilities like Wi-Fi, Sports Complex and labs with better equipment and machines. According to the fresh report of Royal Institute of chartered surveyors, till 2020 there will be need of 400, 000 civil engineers but today there are only 65,000 professionals available. Also, civil engineering is one of the core branches which gives it an edge over other disciplines. IIT Delhi is another plus point, the best college of the country attracts the best recruiters in all the branches. So, the placements are very good. If you check out the report of last year which is available on the w=official website, you would know that every year around 78% people get placed from the branch. The highest package is around 30 lac per annum given by companies like Larsen and Tourbo, Essar, etc. The average package is about 9 lac per annum.

Well, the placement statistics of IIT Delhi shows that they have been growing rigorously branch per branch. There has been a static increase in the no. of placement companies visiting the campus have been rising year by year and when you are gradually in IIT, then you don't have to worry about your branch as most of the companies in IIT do not consider the Branch criteria but rather, they focus on CGPA. So, these are the most companies like :-KPMG , DELLOITE, PWC, BCG, BAINS, etc. which are consultant firms. They visited the campus for recruitment of the student. The no. of core companies are like NHAI, L&T, BRO TATA. They offered package to the students. Government PSUs like GAIL, ONGC, NTPC, BHEL also take students from IIT. So, there are major chances for getting placed. The following is the data statistics for placement of the previous years:- No.of Company visitedd- 495 No. of Profile-595 No. of students placed:- 805 students were placed Some of the student did not opted for job as they were preparing for Higher Studies, MBA, MS, M.Tech etc. Some were preparing for Govt services -IAS IES Defence, etc. So, overall, the placement are remarkable in IIT.
